BIOGRAPHY

Tiffany-Marietta Harris  is a self taught artist, with an education in health care. She grew up in California and British Columbia with ponies and a wide assortment of creatures.  She loves to work in layers, marks that show through leaving shadows of prior lines, reminiscent of a historical record. Her expressionistic style combines acrylic paint, paper collage, graphite, pencil, pen, inks and other mediums to create a richness to a piece. As a cancer survivor with scars as the battle ground map, she finds she is drawn to the  imperfect, the slightly imbalanced, the scrapes, the stories behind the top coat.  Thats where the humanness is, in the stories, in the battles, in the histories. Her paintings celebrate the hope and beauty of this.  

 

She resides in Tucson, AZ with 3 of her 4 sons.
